A comfort page to de-stress you from your chaotic student life. Designed by Ceara Silvano
Unwind is an organisation that specialises in helping students feel at ease from their chaotic and hectic life, whether that be caused from academic stress or going through physical changes that affect our emotions, Unwind has it all covered. Our aim is to create a safe space that comforts people into letting them know that everything is going to be okay. We provide guidance on how to de-stress, engage users in calming activites, and provide a contact support team for people who are struggling the most.
Many young people find themselves conflicted by mental stress. This stress could be caused by heavy amounts of academic work or personal issues. We have provided below 6 easy steps in helping clear your mind if you find yourself going through alot.
It is proven scientifically that a 15-20 minute break every 90 mintues, re-jogs your memory. Adult colouring has been proven to relax your mental state and de-clutter your mind. Any form of exercise and meditating is a great way to keep your mind off things and also benefit your physical health. Organising helps students prioritise activties, set goals and achieve them. Finally, just simply breathe, if you breathe in, hold your breath for 7 seconds, breathe out and repeat the activity 7 times, you will be less liekly to be anxious.
Breaks are ESSENTIAL in maintaining great performance throughout the day. Without breaks inbetween work, you will find the level of your work decreasing.
"Before I found Unwind, I was in a bad headspace due to cramming all my work at once, this lead to feel very overwhlemed and anxious. I then searched ways to de-stress and I found this website, their support helpline and ways to de-stress really helped changed my mindset for the better. I now feel more at ease with my work due to organising more and taking breaks more frequently. I have also found an interest in colouring by numbers, I do it from time to time when I have a free chance and the hobby relaxes me." - Katie Fisher, 2020
